Terms of Service
For BeanHub Shelf. Last updated: on release.
These terms are the agreement between you and Harfred Labs ("we", "us") for your use of BeanHub Shelf (the "app"). By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
What this app is
BeanHub Shelf is an independent concept built as a private pitch to the owner of BeanHub. It is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with BeanHub. The coffees, roasters, descriptions and prices shown in the app are product data pulled live from beanhub.com.au — they are real, but they are shown for demonstration, and beanhub.com.au is the authoritative source for current stock and price at the point you actually buy something.
Using the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use BeanHub Shelf on devices you own or control, for as long as you comply with these terms. You may not sell, rent or sublicense the app, and you may not reverse-engineer it except to the extent your local law says you may regardless of an agreement like this one. Distribution is limited to TestFlight and Play internal testing — this app is not, and will not be, submitted to a public app store.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use BeanHub Shelf to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or BeanHub's;
- interfere with the app's operation, or place an unreasonable load on our servers or BeanHub's;
- represent the app as BeanHub's own software, or otherwise misrepresent its relationship to BeanHub.
Your bag
The bag you build in the app lives on your device only; we do not hold a copy of it. There is no account, so there is nothing on our side to lose, transfer or restore — uninstalling the app deletes it for good.
No checkout, no purchases, in this app
BeanHub Shelf does not sell anything and does not process payments. "Check out on BeanHub" opens BeanHub's own product pages in your browser or the in-app browser, where you add each item to BeanHub's own cart and complete the purchase on BeanHub's own site, under BeanHub's own terms. Prices and stock shown in this app are indicative and may be out of date by the time you get to BeanHub's checkout.
Availability and changes
This is a concept build, kept running for as long as it is useful to the pitch. We do not promise the app, or the live catalogue feed inside it, will be available uninterrupted, and we may change or discontinue it at any time. The bundled snapshot of the range keeps the app usable even when the live feed cannot be reached.
Disclaimers
BeanHub Shelf is provided "as is", as a concept and a pitch, not as a finished retail product. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes a guarantee, warranty or right that your local consumer law does not permit us to exclude — in Australia, for example, the Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply regardless of anything written here.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from your use of BeanHub Shelf. This section does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.
Ending this agreement
You may stop using BeanHub Shelf and delete it at any time. We may end your access if you materially breach these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Australia, where Harfred Labs operates, and the courts there have jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, or of your right to bring a claim there.
